EMILY AS EUROPE ALL THROUGHOUT THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY by Darren C. Demaree

The melt-core
of history thrives
outside

of the cathedral
of Emily
& yet, does Italy

even exist
if I never give up
the gravity

of her sloping
landscapes?
I’m sure it does,

but do you
think I’m leaving
to find out?
